Kuwait: Top 10 Art Projects and Exhibitions in 2012

It is the 2nd annual selection of the best art exhibitions and events in Kuwait (see the previous one). If in 2011 it was important to see and try to feature all art events in Kuwait, in 2012 we had an aim to distinguish the quality of the presented art as well as the idea of the exhibition itself, that’s why less photo coverages were done even if the quantity of art events has increased.

Our criteria for selection:

- Duration of the exhibition – 3 weeks and longer | Catalogue with artist’s biography and artworks description | Curatorial project or concept of the exhibition with title and introduction article | Genuine artist’s style | Strong artworks

3-7 days exhibition | Absence of the catalogue printed by an art institution ( gallery) which held an exhibition | Absence of the exhibition title and introduction article | Artist style is a full or partial copy of another artist | Weak or bad artworks
